Thank you for visiting my blog. It is my hope that you will find inspiration!
My Goal, is twofold, a way to blend my personal experiences (life lessons) and my paper crafting hobby in order to enlighten someone else and encourage everyone to take life’s lessons to the next level by using them to make the life you want.
What’s In a Name?:
Most of my paper crafting consists of greeting cards and I wanted to share my skills/creations with others. While thinking about my two goals I also thought that instead of taking life’s lessons as they come we should greet them as an opportunity to improve whatever circumstance we’ve been given. The name Greeting Lessons was born!
My name is Christy and I live in the country, outside a small town in West Virginia with my husband Mike and our many pets. I am a wife, a mother to one daughter and maw maw to one grandson. My life’s work has mainly consisted of non-profit employment. Over the last 15 years I have had the blessing to be part of something bigger than myself and spend each day making a difference in the lives of others. I didn’t start paper crafting until about 3 years ago. My supportive husband has always encouraged me to invest time into a hobby, but honestly when you work in the non-profit world, it consumes your life and by the time I invested in work and family, there wasn’t much “me” time left…I’m sure most of you know exactly what I am talking about, even if you don’t work for a non-profit. After my daughter left home and began a life of her own, the empty nest felt freeing. Many years ago I had used a friend’s die cutting machine (Cricut) to create a memory book for my daughter’s high school graduation. Since then I knew I could truly love paper crafting…a hobby began.
